Inside Our Preschool Classrooms

As soon as you walk into our preschool classrooms, you'll see learning happening everywhere. This mix of exploration, friendship, confidence-building, and fun is what makes our NAEYC-accredited program special.

Learning That Comes to Life

Each room is thoughtfully designed to support your child's development. We promote independence by teaching children to self-serve meals, put on their coats, and manage daily tasks. Children are encouraged to think critically, experiment, and come up with their own ideas. Our classrooms balance quiet, calm spaces with lively play zones.

Imagination & Dramatic Play

Our dramatic play areas let children's imaginations soar! With costumes, puppets, and props reflecting our diverse community, children can act out roles like doctors, chefs, or explorers. Our puppet theaters are a favorite spot, too!

Exploration & Discovery

In our discovery labs, kids become little scientists—inspecting leaves with magnifying glasses or experimenting with sinking and floating in water tables. Sensory tables allow experimentation with sand, water, and other materials to help learn measurement, pouring, and mixing skills.

Language & Literacy

Educators create print-rich environments to help children recognize letters, words, and start forming word families. We encourage children to turn their experiences into stories and drawings, providing opportunities to practice writing and express their thoughts.

Art & Creativity

Art allows children to express their thoughts and feelings. Whether they are painting with watercolors or molding clay, we encourage them to be creative and build confidence as they share their ideas.

Building & Creating

In our construction zones, children use blocks and accessories to build towers, roads, and their own imaginative cities. This type of play encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and spatial awareness.

Technology & Learning

Preschoolers can choose to play interactive games on iPads and computers that align with our curriculum and help develop problem-solving skills. Technology is just one part of their day, balanced with lots of hands-on activities.

Nutrition and Meals

Our skilled chefs prepare fresh breakfasts, lunches, and snacks right at each center, ensuring your child is fueled for their day of learning and play. Learn more about our meals on the Nutrition and Meals page.

Our Preschool Curriculum

Our preschool curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation through play-based learning, social interaction, and sensory exploration.

Curricular Focus and Goals

The focus is on foundational skills, basic social interaction, simple language development, and exploration of sensory experiences. Activities encourage curiosity, sensory play, and basic problem-solving to build a secure attachment to the learning environment.

Cognitive and Social-Emotional Development

Emphasizes social skills, emotional regulation, and cooperation, fostering play-based learning where children are encouraged to explore and interact freely. Teachers facilitate peer interactions and model social skills, focusing on routines like sharing, turn-taking, and emotional recognition.

Physical Development

Gross motor play is central, with activities aimed at building core motor skills through free play, outdoor activities, and group games.

Structure and Daily Routine

Activities are generally more flexible, allowing children to explore at their own pace. Schedules are looser, with more time allocated to free play, and transitions are guided by the children's interests.

Language and Literacy Development

Language activities in preschool center around vocabulary building, storytelling, and recognition of sounds. Teachers introduce basic language through songs, rhymes, and simple stories.

Parent Involvement and Communication

Communication with parents is generally focused on daily updates, social-emotional milestones, and encouraging early at-home routines.

As They Grow, So Does the Program

As children grow and are ready for more, our curriculum evolves to support the next stage of learning. Our Pre-Kindergarten program builds on everything learned in preschool and shifts focus toward kindergarten readiness.
