About/Our Curriculum

Our Curriculum

Every moment at LPC is an opportunity to learn. Our play-based, guided curriculum adapts to each child and is designed to nurture the whole child—emotionally, socially, physically, and intellectually.

Curriculum Meets Care

At Little People's College, we seamlessly integrate curriculum into your child's care, so every moment with us supports their growth and development.

Our goal is to foster a lifelong love of learning while preparing your child for success in school and life. We believe in nurturing whole-child development, which means focusing on all areas of a child's growth—emotional, social, physical, and intellectual. By caring for all aspects of your child's development, we help them become well-rounded individuals.

Our play-based, guided curriculum adapts to each child's developmental needs and interests and is designed to help them grow through our A, B, C, D's FUNdamentals:

Athletics & Body Awareness (A)

We emphasize physical activity to help children develop motor skills, like running, jumping, and balancing, and to build body awareness. Through movement, sports, and playful exercise, children gain coordination and confidence for healthy, active lifestyles.

Brain Building (B)

Our curriculum sparks curiosity and critical thinking. We encourage children to think, reason, question, and explore. Through hands-on activities like puzzles, games, and science experiments, we support their intellectual development in fun and meaningful ways.

Citizenship & Friendships (C)

Social interaction is key to every child's development. We teach children how to share, cooperate, and be kind to others. This helps them build friendships and develop important social and emotional skills like teamwork and empathy — skills they'll use throughout their lives.

Discovery & Mindfulness (D)

Children explore language and literacy through stories, books, and imaginative play. We also introduce mindfulness practices that help them stay focused during these activities, enhancing their ability to absorb new words, express themselves clearly, and understand their own feelings.

NAEYC-Accredited

Since 1992, we have been proudly accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). This accreditation confirms that our programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers meet the highest standards for early childhood education. NAEYC sets rigorous benchmarks for quality, ensuring that our centers provide the best care and learning experiences for your child.

Qualifications for Educators

Our educators meet the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) standards, bringing the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional care and education for your child. They participate in ongoing professional development, covering topics like education, curriculum, and leadership, to stay up-to-date with best practices. Each educator is also trained in First Aid and CPR to handle emergencies safely.

Dedicated Curriculum and Coaching Team

Our curriculum follows Massachusetts state guidelines and is supported by our Education & Training Coaches. They work directly with our educators to make sure our educational activities are engaging and meet the educational standards for every age group.

Collaboration with Local Schools

We work closely with local schools to make sure our curriculum helps your child succeed, whether they're moving on to Kindergarten or need support with homework or summer reading. We also regularly check and update our classroom supplies, materials, and setup to ensure they all contribute to a great learning environment.

Together with Families

We believe that working together with families is the best way to help children grow. We create a positive, fun environment where children can feel good about themselves and learn with excitement. Our educators are here to inspire your child and guide them as they learn new things—always with plenty of smiles and encouragement.
